Caregiver fatigue

Caregiver fatigue, also known as caregiver burnout, refers to the physical, emotional, and mental exhaustion experienced by individuals who provide care for others. It can lead to symptoms such as depression, withdrawal, negative emotions, physical fatigue, and changes in eating and sleeping habits. Signs of caregiver stress may include feeling burdened, tired, or having difficulty sleeping. This condition can result in an absence of emotion and feeling overwhelmed by circumstances. It’s essential for caregivers to prioritize self-care and seek support to prevent or manage caregiver fatigue.
